A FieldWorks project is an XML file that stores data and text related to a particular language and the people that speak it. All FieldWorks applications store information in the same file.<\/p>\n<h2>Backing Up Projects<\/h2>\n<p>A FieldWorks project backup file is a zip file (with the extension fwbackup) that contains your compressed project data.<\/p>\n<p>If you use Send\/Receive, you cannot restore the backups over your data, but it&#8217;s a good idea to keep backups anyway.<\/p>\n<p>If you have your project on LexBox, you have an offsite backup and can access previous revisions of the project by contacting flex_errors@sil.org.
