LingTree runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.<\/p>\n

Windows<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Download the installer<\/li>\n
  2. If you have installed an earlier version of LingTree, uninstall the earlier version.<\/li>\n
  3. Run the installer file as administrator (right-click on the file you just downloaded and choose \u201cRun as Administrator\u201d).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    macOS<\/h2>\n
      \n
    1. Download the installer.<\/li>\n
    2. Double-click the installer file.<\/li>\n
    3. Drag the LingTree icon to the Applications folder. LingTree will now be in your Applications folder.<\/li>\n
    4. Note:<\/strong> if you get a message that LingTree has not been notarized, open up System Preferences \/ Security\u00a0 Privacy \/ General tab.\u00a0 LingTree should be listed and you should be able to click “Open Anyway.”<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Linux<\/h2>\n

      Follow these steps:<\/p>\n

      1. Download the installer.<\/li>\n
      2. Using a Terminal widow, navigate to where you downloaded the installer.<\/li>\n
      3. If you have previously installed LingTree, remove the old version by typing
        \nsudo dpkg -r lingtree<\/code>
        \nand press ENTER<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      4. Now invoke the installer by typing
        \nsudo dpkg -i name_of_the_downloaded_deb_file<\/em><\/code>
