Supporting software<\/h3>\n

It is recommended that you install the following software to allow you a number of options for exporting your dictionary content from FieldWorks<\/a>:<\/p>\n

LibreOffice<\/a> – This is the main export format. LibreOffice can save documents in Word format if desired or there is a script included FlexXhtmlToDoc.bat<\/code> which can take XHTML export from FieldWorks<\/a> and process it so it will open in Word. (After processing, edit the xhtml to insert the title and once you open it in Word you will need to add the headers using Quick-parts>Fields>StyleRefs and page margins.)<\/p>\n

PrinceXML<\/a> – Generally a simple way to get a PDF but it can’t be edited afterwards in this format.<\/p>\n

Calibre E-Book<\/a> – allows editing e-book after exporting as well as reading and previewing e-books.<\/p>\n

PDF XChange<\/a> – can be used to edit the copyright of the PDF. (You can also do this with Adobe if you like.)<\/p>\n

Java JDK<\/a> – used for Dictionary to Mid (may be a bit less useful so you can skip this if you don’t need that.)<\/p>\n

.NET 4.6.2<\/a> will be needed to run this version of Pathway if you don’t already have it.<\/p>\n

The bootstrap program requires that you have a connection to the Internet for normal operation. If you would like to download the installers once and install them on multiple machines or if you will be installing Pathway in a location where the Internet is unavailable or unreliable, please follow the offline installation<\/a> instructions.<\/p>\n

The latest Linux release is available to Wasta and Ubuntu users through the SIL Linux Package Repository<\/a>.
