{"id":719,"date":"2015-10-06T22:35:16","date_gmt":"2015-10-06T22:35:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/software.sil.org\/scriptureappbuilder\/?p=719"},"modified":"2016-10-20T15:44:05","modified_gmt":"2016-10-20T15:44:05","slug":"scripture-app-builder-1-5-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/software.sil.org\/scriptureappbuilder\/2015\/10\/scripture-app-builder-1-5-released\/","title":{"rendered":"Scripture App Builder 1.5 Released"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Scripture App Builder 1.5 has been released.<\/p>\n<p>This new version makes use of recent improvements to automated audio-text synchronization using <a href=\"http:\/\/www.readbeyond.it\/aeneas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">aeneas<\/a>, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the ability to detect the length of a header section to ignore, and <\/li>\n<li>a new Fine Tune Timings feature. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\/software.sil.org\/scriptureappbuilder\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2015\/10\/sab-fine-tuning2.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>The way <strong>aeneas<\/strong> works is to synthesize each phrase using a text-to-speech engine, and then compare the synthesized audio files against the input audio file to find the phrase breaks. To do this, a lot of clever mathematical computation goes on behind the scenes. In our tests we are finding that initial synchronization results are very impressive.
