SIL Global is pleased to announce the release of version 7.000 of the BJCree font. The BJCree (‘Baie-James’ [James Bay] Cree) font is a Canadian Syllabics font in the style preferred by Cree and Naskapi communities of Canada located around James Bay. It supports the full range of Algonquian (Cree and Ojibwa) languages. This is a new version of an older ‘shareware’ font, improved and updated to support a wide range of uses, from print to web. It is now released under the SIL Open Font License.

Four fonts from this typeface family are included in the BJCree release:

  • BJCree Regular
  • BJCree Medium
