Web

The web app allows you to set up your project and to work on the transcriptions and audio versions collaboratively (if desired).

Desktop

With the web app and the Desktop app, users have three work scenario options:

  1. The web (browser) app is designed for teamwork and collaboration.
  2. An occasionally-connected experience. This allows users to set up teams and projects while online, but then work offline in the Desktop app. Projects can be set to be available offline. Being occasionally connected allows those using a browser and those using the Desktop app to collaborate, but it does require some coordination so they aren’t working on the same material. When work is done offline and the user subsequently logs in, the changes done offline are uploaded automatically to the online project so other team members can see them.
  3. With the Desktop app you can work completely offline. This is designed for individuals who will work by themselves and who do not want to save their data on an Internet server.
