These tutorials will give a basic overview of the Audio Project Manager.
Try It!
The simplest way to experience Audio Project Manager is to give it a try.
Team Setup
If you will be working on a collaborative transcription project, you’ll want to setup a team.
Project Setup
Whether you are working on transcription on your own or with others, you’ll want to setup a project. The Try It! item shows how to setup simply with an audio file but if you have multiple audio files that are transcribing different passages, you’ll want to setup a project.
After getting started…
The online or in app help provides step-by-step instructions on the use of Audio Project Manager in the form of guides. A series of five-minute videos have been prepared oriented around using specific features of Audio Project Manager. They can be used to understand a specific feature or as part of a larger training event where users review the video content and then apply the feature to their own project. Nathan Payne has prepared a walk through of a typical use of the Audio Project Manager on an oral Translation project. Here is an outline of his presentation.
Offline Setup
Offline use is for users who are working alone (without other team members). It does not require any connection to the Internet. It also does not back up the audio files or transcriptions on line. Work can be done off line as described here.
Occasionally-Connected Team
Occasionally-Connected Team use is intended for locations where the Internet is not available or is expensive to use. Audio Project Manager sets up the project on line but once it is setup, it can be used off line. This use is described here
