We are happy to announce that the release version of FieldWorks 9.2 is now available.

Some highlights of what is available in FieldWorks 9.2.9 (stable) that is new since the previous stable version (FW 9.1.25)

  • Export dictionaries to Microsoft Word (without going through Pathway)
  • Ability to reorder the fields in the UI in Lexicon Edit view.
  • A new field “Exemplar” has been added to the Sense level of Lexicon Edit.

In the area of the automatic parsers, some major new features include:

  • Ability to reorder affix templates.
  • Novel Root Guesser: Provides guesses about which part of an inflected word is the root, if all the affixes can be parsed.
  • Parse Prioritizer: The choice of which word analysis to show as the “most likely guess” now takes into account context and other clues.
  • Parser Test Reports: Provide extensive detail about parse successes/failures and speed, for easy comparison as the parsing setup is developed.
