This is a supported or volunteer position:
Supported: A financially supported missionary dedicated to the work of language development and Bible translation. They partner with a network of individuals, families, churches, and organizations who contribute through regular financial commitments. Support is raised and managed through one of SIL's partner sending organizations.
Volunteer: A self-funded contributor who brings their own financial support and contributes a minimum of ten hours per week. Volunteer commitments may be ongoing or within a defined timeframe, ranging from a few weeks to several years.
