About
Paratext Diagram Labeler is developed by SIL Global and is free to use by language communities around the world and by other partner organizations providing services to them.
Origin and Vision
Paratext Diagram Labeler is the successor to Scripture Map Labeler, a Paratext 9 plug-in which was developed by SIL Global. That tool was based on the key insight that the spelling inconsistencies that are ubiquitous in minority-language Scripture maps could be addressed with a tool that could tie into Paratext’s Biblical Terms tool, and could generate data merge files for InDesign and Map Creator templates. The Paratext Diagram Labeler is indebted to this predecessor.

Contributing
We welcome other developers who wish to get involved in supporting and enhancing this software. The best way to contribute your enhancements is to fork the Github project, then submit pull requests to the development team. It would be helpful, however, for you to first contact the team to find out whether your intended enhancement or fix is already being worked on by someone else. That would also give you an idea of whether that enhancement would be welcomed by the team.
About SIL Global
SIL Global is a faith-based nonprofit organization committed to serving language communities worldwide as they build capacity for sustainable language development. SIL does this primarily through research, translation, training and materials development. SIL works alongside ethnolinguistic communities and their partners as they discover how language development addresses the challenging areas of their daily lives—social, cultural, political, economic and spiritual.
SIL Language Technology supports these activities by developing software, fonts and keyboards. To find out more about our work follow the links at the bottom of this page.
