Help

You can get help just when you need it. To find the information you need to do your work, you can click the Contents, Index, or Search tabs of the Navigation pane in the Help window.

To open the Help window, do any of the following:

  • On the Help menu, click Language Explorer
  • Press F1.
  • To display a context-sensitive Help topic, click Help in a dialog box.

Training Videos

There are demo movies which walk you through using features of each FieldWorks application. You can also get to them from the Help menu. Most of the demo movies are quite old, but are still applicable. The demo movies have been moved to Vimeo and are accessible through the Index of Demo Movies. The Dictionary and Lexicography Services also has a course with other learning videos.

The Dictionary & Lexicography Services online course teaches how to compile and publish a multilingual dictionary using SIL’s FieldWorks Language Explorer (FLEx) and Webonary. This course is self-paced and includes activities designed to help users become proficient in FLEx.
