Source Code

Transcelerator is licensed according to the terms of the MIT License. The source code is available in the Bitbucket project paratext/transcelerator. Further information on how to set up your development environment is included in the Bitbucket project documentation.

The best way to contribute your enhancements is to fork the Bitbucket project, then submit pull requests to the development team. It would be helpful, however, for you to first contact the team to find out whether your intended enhancement or fix is already being worked on by someone else. That would also give you an idea of whether that enhancement would be welcomed by the team.

Transcelerator is currently in active maintenance mode. A recent field request resulted in the release of version 1.2, making it easier to customize the questions to meet specific project needs. Significant work is needed to internationalize Transcelerator so it can be localized for translation teams that would be better served by having the UI and source questions in a different language. That work is not yet scheduled but will likely be the next major development effort for Transcelerator.
