Transcription Changes
With Phonology Assistant, you can experiment with potentially ambiguous items or sequences without changing the transcriptions in your source data.
For example, if your source transcription contains [ts], you may want to temporarily treat it as [t͡s ] in your charts and word lists to test if it is best treated as one or two consonants.
(Note: In version 3.0.1 of Phonology Assistant, Transcription Changes were called Experimental Transcriptions).
