Audio Project Manager version 3.2 adds ❶ a new tool allowing recordings to be marked as to where the verse boundaries are. Then when the user is transcribing, the verse numbers can be automatically inserted into the transcription. Later when the content is synced to Paratext, the verse numbers and chapter numbers are used to put the content into the correct location. Here is a demo of verse markup. ❷ It also adds the ability to handle passage recordings that cross chapter boundaries. ❸ Thirdly, a number of links were added to the help menu to help teams find resources, training, or publishing sites (when the user is online).

Improvements suggested by users have been made too:

  • If you hold shift and press the left arrow, you can select content while transcribing.
  • We now allow zoom on recordings so they can be edited more precisely.
  • The background color of discussions was made lighter so it is easier to read the text.
  • On the Phrase Back Translation tool and on the consultant step there is now a status message so it is much easier to see if all the segments on the current version have been back translated.
  • If the user wants to use Audacity, the file needed is now downloaded. The requirement to download all the audio for the project before using audacity has been removed.
  • General resources now play from the correct starting location even when near the end of the audio file.
  • A set of system categories have been added for publishing to Akuo to allow turning on and off the playing of section heads and chapter numbers.
  • The user can create a Movement 0 where the introductions can be inserted for publishing to Akuo
  • It is now possible on the user’s profile page to change how often data changes are pulled from the Internet.
