Version 7.000 of the Charis, Doulos SIL, Gentium, and Andika font families is now available. Highlights:

  • New font family names (Charis, Gentium) that allow both 6.200 and 7.000 to be installed at the same time
  • Decreased default line spacing (Charis, Gentium) that reduces the need for ‘Compact’ versions
  • Additional intermediate weights: Medium & SemiBold (Charis, Gentium, Andika)
  • Extensive kerning for all languages and generally improved spacing (Charis, Gentium, Andika)
  • Oldstyle figures (Charis, Gentium)
  • Enhancements to Greek including small caps and support for rare and uncommon combinations (Gentium)
  • Improved autohinting for better screen appearance and consistency (Charis, Gentium, Andika)
  • Many fixes, character additions, and feature improvements
