Current Version

This package contains the fonts, documentation, webfonts (WOFF and WOFF2) and example files and includes all eight styles of Gentium (Gentium Plus and Gentium Book Plus font families). Full source archives are available on Github.

This font package is also available in the SIL software repository for Ubuntu. Users can subscribe to this software repository and get current versions and updates automatically.

Gentium Plus is also available through the TypeTuner Web service, which allows you to choose among the smart font features and download a font with those features preset. This enables them to work in many applications that do not make use of Graphite or OpenType Stylistic Sets.

Gentium Basic

Gentium Basic is a limited-character-set version of Gentium, based on version 5.

Font Subsets and Modified Versions

Subset versions of the fonts for specific regions, based on version 5, remain available. See SIL Font Subsets. Although not based on the current fonts they should continue to work well. We do not currently plan to update these to version 6, but contact us if you need them updated.

Modified versions for special uses are also available. These have been updated to version 6, although some of the modified Gentium Plus fonts have been renamed due to technical limitations on font name length.
