  • New AI Rule Studio tool — describe a transfer rule or macro in your own words and let an AI provider write it
    • Creates a new rule or modifies an existing one, and Explain mode describes what an existing one does
    • Grounded in your own project: the real categories, features and affixes from FLEx, plus sample rules and data from your files
    • Every generated rule is validated and shown to you in a preview before it’s written to the rules file
    • Choose your provider and model in the Settings tool — Gemini, Anthropic or OpenAI supported initially
    • Nothing is sent anywhere until you consent, and your API key is kept in the Windows credential store
  • A completely rebuilt Rule Assistant
    • A splitter between the rule information and the test data lets you give each pane the room it needs
    • It opens directly as a normal FLExTrans window and remembers its size and splitter positions
    • Support for a “many” noun class in Bantu noun class processing
    • It is now integrated with FLExTrans instead of needing its own separate installer
  • New One-project mode — run FLExTrans with a single FieldWorks project that holds both languages in two writing systems, instead of separate source and target projects
    • This is useful for languages written in two scripts and very closely related languages
  • Text In and Text Out search and replace can now change the capitalization of what it puts back — either just the next letter or a whole stretch of text, made uppercase or lowercase
  • Define your own lowercase/uppercase pairs so capitalization works for all kinds of non-ASCII characters with the STAMP synthesizer
  • The Apertium tools now include the official fix for a lowercasing problem
  • Text Out rules can be applied automatically in the End Testbed module
  • Live Rule Tester improvements, including splitter controls with the sizes remembered. Also comments on a test are possible. They are saved in the testbed file and shown in the log viewer
  • All French and about half of the Spanish translations have been reviewed and approved
  • The \id line of a Paratext book is now imported and exported in the Paratext import and export modules
  • Documentation updates, including the Rule Assistant documentation now folded into the FLExTrans user documentation
  • Bug fixes
